Undip, Semarang (04/29/2026) – The dissertation examination for the Doctoral Program in Information Systems was held again in the Main Courtroom TTB A Floor 1 of the Graduate School of Diponegoro University on Friday, April 24, 2026. On that occasion, Avip Kurniawan successfully completed his doctoral studies with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.00.

The dissertation titled “Leaf Disease Information System Model for Rice Plants for Disease Classification Based on Image Processing and Machine Learning” was presented. This research is considered relevant to the needs of government programs in the agricultural sector as well as the development of artificial intelligence-based technology in supporting the early detection of rice plant diseases.

Through the utilization of image processing and machine learning methods, this research is expected to provide an accurate and applicable information system solution for improving agricultural productivity.

As a message for other students who are working on their dissertations, Avip emphasizes the importance of maintaining enthusiasm, continuing to learn, and staying focused on completing their studies.
