Semarang, UNDIP (16/5/2024) — The Technical Implementation Unit for Consultation Services and Student Discipline and Ethics (UPT LKDPDEM) of Diponegoro University conducted a roadshow socialization event titled “Socialization of Consultation Services, Disability, Enforcement of Discipline and Student Ethics, as well as Prevention and Handling of Violence” at the Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University on Friday, May 16, 2025, in the TTB-A Building Meeting Room.
This activity is part of the UPT LKDPDEM roadshow series to various faculties within Diponegoro University, this event was meant to enhancing the academic community’s understanding of the various strategic services provided by the campus, particularly in the fields of mental health, support for persons with disabilities, enforcement of regulations, and prevention and handling of violence in the academic environment.
The event was opened with a speech by the Dean of the Graduate School of Diponegoro University, Prof. Ir. Mochamad Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D. In his speech, Prof. Agung welcomed the initiative of this program and stated that this program is preventive act to maintain mental health, especially for the environment of the Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University.
“This is a preventive programs.” Mental health must be maintained because being healthy mentality doesn’t happen suddenly; it requires effort to make it happen. He said.
The event continued with a speech from the Head of UPT LKDPDEM, Anastasia Ediati, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D., who stated that this service is a manifestation of Diponegoro University commitment to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive campus environment.
This socialization also featured speakers from various service fields at UPT LKDPDEM, including psychological counseling services, disability services, student ethics and discipline, and the violence prevention and handling unit. The material presented was divided into two sessions, the first session focusing on Consultation Services, Disability, Student Discipline Enforcement, and Ethics, presented by Anastasia Ediati, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D., The second session however is focusing on the introduction to Violence Prevention and Handling, which is presented by Dr. Manik Mahachandra.
This event was filled with interactive with sessions such as case discussions, and the dissemination of digital materials regarding UPT LKDPDEM services. Participants show its enthusiasm and support for the existence of this service.
With this socialization, it is hoped that all academic members of the Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University will become more aware and responsive to the importance of mental health, the enforcement of academic ethics, and the protection of victims of violence and vulnerable groups on campus.
