Undip, Semarang (12/9/2025) — The Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University recently conducted the 7th Friday Research Day titled Introduction to Scholarly Publishing for Postgraduate Students. This activity was held at The Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University TTB-A Building, 3rd floor, on 12 September 2025. This activity was attended by the Inter-Multidisciplinary SPs students across SPs Undip.
This activity was opened by Dr. Qidir Maulana Binu Soesanto, S.Si., as the first speaker. On this occasion, he presents the definition of publication itself, how it works, and guides to doing what it should do and what it shouldn’t do. The next session was continued by John Thedy, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. This time he introduced various publication journal websites that can be accessed by students if they want to seek references for their scientific publication paper. Other than that, the journal publication portal was classified between Q1,Q2, Q3 and Q4, which have distinctive difficulty. Additionally, there’s a set of rules that they have to obey, which will be presented by Chely Novia Bramiana, S.T., BBE, M.Sc., Ph.D. Chely emphasizes that there will always be plenty of odds during writing a journal, but keep in mind that students are not allowed to plagiarize or commit other prohibitions in writing a scientific publication.
The next session was the discussion section, where all students raised their questions regarding this topic. Students are so curious about how to develop a proper scientific publication journal. (Humas SPs – Daffa Amir Pambudi)
