Undip, Semarang (11/02/2026) — In this new Semester, the Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University (SPs Undip) is conducting another Studium Generale titled Digital Twin: Discussing the Future of Digital Transformation From Research to Implementation.” This event took place at The Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University TTB-A Building on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026.

The event itself was opened by Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., as the dean of SPs Undip. In his opening speech, he says, “In this developed era, it is our responsibility to adapt to the era; technology expansion is getting developed tremendously. We hope there is further collaboration between Diponegoro University and Gadjah Mada University in order to expand the utilization of Digital Twin Technology.

Ruli Andaru, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., from Gadjah Mada University, attended as the speaker for the session. He explains that the digital twin is a digital representation that came from an object or physical system in which it is running in real time. In his presentation, he emphasized that the Digital Twin is capable of enhancing the efficiency and enlarging innovation in every sector.

The discussion was conducted interactively, guided by Mr. Kusnawi, S.Kom., M.Eng., as the moderator. The participants showed high enthusiasm in exploring the potential of spatial technology and digital simulation to support the research they are developing.
