Wonosobo, Jawa Tengah (4/12/2025) — The Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University conducted the handover and signing of Picohydro Technology at Mlandi Village, Wonosobo, on 4th December 2025. This event is part of the SPs Undip initiatives to build the spirit of society service and uphold the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the field of clean and affordable energy.

This has become SPs Undip’s big step to develop a free and clean technology that can be an alternative energy to sustain people’s needs in terms of energy requirements. Particularly, this technology not only offers ease for people’s needs but also has the advantage of empowering alternative energy without cutting the carbon emission. This picohydro technology is able to convert water tides into electricity, which can be a great contribution of SPs Undip to society.

Due to its abundance of natural resources in Wonosobo, this picohydro technology would be a great advantage in terms of reducing people’s dependence on fossil fuels. Moreover, the SP’s Undip contribution in inventing picohydro technology will pave the way to establish a tourism village within Mlandi village.
