Semarang, UNDIP (5/3) – The Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University once again held a dissertation exam for Doctoral Candidate Mohammad Jamil from the Doctoral of Information System. He’s been performing for his exam by introducing his work titled “Mixed Reality Simulator (MRSi) as a media for disaster mitigation learning approach”. The exam took place at The Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University TTB-A Building Meeting Room on the first floor on Friday, February 28, 2025. He successfully acquired his doctoral degree with a 3.94 GPA within a 2-year, 6-month, 16-day record.

Mohammad Jamil also has plenty of achievements, such as 5 publications, 8 HKI, and a book titled “The Mixed Reality Technology Evaluation in the Education of Disaster Mitigation Simulation Process with a Case Study: The Impact of Mixed Reality Simulator System Cybersickness (MRSi). The reason behind why he takes this title is that Indonesia is an archipelagic country that has disaster potential. Because of that, it has to be anticipated at all costs.”.

He also shared some tips and tricks on how to work out the dissertation. “As a doctoral student, you must stay focused on what you’re working on even if it’s not perfect yet. Other than that, the publication must be well prepared so that it does not have to wait too long to be published.
