Undip, Semarang (21/10/2025) – The Diponegoro University Graduate School is once again holding a Visiting Professor public lecture session, this time featuring a guest lecturer from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, namely Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Zainuddin Abdul Manan, with the theme “Driving Resilience via Sustainable Energy Management” to strengthen the network of collaboration and synergy of the Diponegoro University Graduate School at the international level in facing sustainable energy issues. This public lecture will be held online via Zoom on October 21, 2025, and will be attended by the dean, head of the study program, secretary of the study program, and master of energy students from the Graduate School of Diponegoro University.
The event was opened with a welcome speech by the Dean of the Diponegoro University Graduate School, Prof. Ir. Mochamad Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D. In his speech, he hoped that after the visiting professor program, the Diponegoro University Graduate School could increase collaboration with many foreign universities, especially in the field of energy.
“We hope to invite even more scholars from foreign universities as a form of our dedication, especially in the field of energy,” he said.
The next session is the welcome address by the Head of the Master of Energy Study Program, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Silviana, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng., who will also deliver a welcome address to Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Zainuddin Abdul Manan, the speaker for this event. In the main session, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Zainuddin Abdul Manan presented the concept of resilience in modern energy management and emphasized the importance of transitioning toward renewable energy that is adaptable to environmental and social changes.
The event also continued with an interactive discussion session. Participants actively asked how to collaborate energy management systems with environmental ISO standards and quality management systems.
Through this, the UNDIP Graduate School remains committed to continuing to play an active role in supporting the energy sustainability agenda and strengthening the role of academics in facing global challenges toward national energy resilience. (Humas SPs – DAP)
