Undip, Semarang (3/10/2025) — The Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University is once again holding its regular Friday Research Day event, which this time focuses on the theme of bibliometrics from A to Z. The event will be held hybridly in the Smartclass Room on the 3rd floor of the TTB-A building at the Diponegoro University Graduate School on Friday, October 3, 2025. Students and lecturers from various faculties attended this event. Bibliometrics itself is a quantitative method for analyzing scientific literature, which has now become an important instrument for assessing research performance, identifying scientific trends, and determining the future direction of research development.
Featuring Akhlis Munazilin, S.Kom., M.T., as the speaker, provided a comprehensive presentation on how to utilize bibliometrics as an assistant in preparing research publications, covering basic techniques for the use of software tools such as VOSviewer, R Studio, OpenRefine, and Java. Furthermore, participants were encouraged to directly practice applying bibliometrics using the recommended application tools.
Participant enthusiasm was very high, with both in-person and online attendees actively asking questions about how to apply this research analysis method. Attendees reported a strong understanding of the principles of this method.
