Undip, Semarang (25/8/2025) — The Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University recently conducted a Studium Generale titled Writing A Research Proposal with invited speaker Prof. Dr. Norjihan Binti Abdul Ghani. The activity took place on Monday, 25th August 2025, at The Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University TTB-A Building, first floor. The activity was attended by the dean, lecturers, and the students of SPs Undip. This activity was part of the collaboration between SPs Undip and Universiti Malaya for improvisation in academic writing and research.
Prof. Ir. Mochamad Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., as Dean of SPs Undip, in his opening speech, said he hopes that there will be further collaboration between these universities in order to excel the capabilities of both lecturers and students in making quality publications and research, especially on research proposals. “We do hope there will be further collaboration between the Postgraduate School of Diponegoro University and Universiti Malaya,” he said.
The next session was carried on by the speaker itself, Prof. Dr. Norjihan Binti Abdul Ghani. In her presentation, she emphasized the highlight of making a research proposal, which consists of answering the research problems, research object, research scope, and methodology and also where this research will be brought to. She also explains the variety of the scope of the Information Systems major, such as agriculture and medicine, etc.
The next session is the Q & A section, where all the students deliver their questions regarding research itself. Many students are wondering how they will make out their research so that they can graduate at the right time. (Humas SPs – Daffa Amir Pambudi)
